New industrial applications areas present additional challenges for finding effective sorbent products at a cost that allows the area to develop. Many of these areas involve activities broadly classified as green chemistry. Currently, demand for both their products, and hence ours, is driven largely by new legislation particularly in environmental controls.  However, we have a significant presence in specific areas that include fuels that come from renewable feedstock sources, plastics recycling, landfill gas treatment, strategic materials recoveries, and waste minimization, e.g., in conventional petrochemical and refining processes. Our applications specialists will recommend / provide adsorbents for:

• Removing specific pollutants from water and soil

• Dehydrating both gases and liquids.

• Purifying and drying solvents - specific contaminant removal like water and acidic compounds

• Separating polar and unsaturated molecules capable of forming hydrogen bonds with the surface groups. Generally referred to as chromatographic supports.

• Adsorbing fatty acids and color bodies from oils.

• Defining guard beds and traps with functionalities that most affect required contaminant removal.

• Optimizing catalyst carriers and bed supports - with materials selected for: Efficiency, Selectivity, Kinetics, Capacity (and Cost).
